Pure fruit juices and milk-based drinks will be excluded and the smallest producers will have an exemption from the scheme. But nearly six months after the company started providing consumers with freshness expiration dates on soft drinks, Pepsi has reason to celebrate. Many consumers consider freshness dating useful, and they associate it with Pepsi. Nearly all of Pepsi’s major competitors felt compelled to also add readable freshness dating to the bottoms of their cans.
The tactic stirred up a mature segment, though it’s unlikely that freshness dating will have a long-term impact. Pepsi ignited the change with a test of freshness dating on Diet Pepsi that began in March Today, freshness dates appear on just about all Pepsi-Cola Co. No additional advertising followed the first wave of support.

August 14, , Duke University Credit: CC0 Public Domain It might not seem like a big deal if you like Coke while your partner likes Pepsi—but new research suggests preferring different brands can affect our happiness in relationships more than shared interests or personality traits. The researchers found that partners who had low power in their relationships – those who don’t feel they can shape their partner’s behavior – tend to find themselves stuck with their partner’s preferred brands.
This could lead to a death-by-a-thousand-cuts feeling,” Brick said. The researchers used brand preferences in soda, coffee, chocolate, beer and automobiles to study individuals and couples, some of whom were tracked over two years. These results were combined with findings on relationship power and happiness. Brick said it’s likely these brand compatibility effects have steadily gained strength as brands have evolved to play a bigger role in the daily lives of consumers.
But they aren’t given the same weight as other relationship-influencing factors because they’re not seen as significant. And if you’re the low-power person in the relationship , who continually loses out on brands and is stuck with your partner’s preferences, you are going to be less happy. Even if two partners have slightly different brand preferences, if they can adopt a joint brand that both are happy about, that might increase happiness for a partner who would otherwise feel unsatisfied.

A few early Pepsi bottles before were made of amber glass, but be careful of the 75th anniversary reproduction bottle from New Bern, NC which is amber and came with a paper label and whittled neck. Sue November 18, Danielle, what makes you think God put animals here for us to eat? This is authentic science. And I the next thing you might say is that poor, unintelligent or materially and immediately non-productive persons should also be exterminated as well. This flows naturally from your logic that endorses murdering unborn babies because for convenience. Do you realise that you have just justified genocide? Niall January 24, I was going to get involved with this discussion because typically opinions cannot be swayed on the topic of abortion.
I agree that it is a dicey issue. And that yes, I understand why it is considered wrong in a sense. This is besides the point I am trying to make. If you knew anything about logic you should know that you are using a slippery slope argument which is called a logical fallacy. Look it up, you might be enlightened. If A happens then B happens through a serious of events. I audibly gasped at reading your response.

Diet Coke or Diet Pepsi contains more calories than claimed, but the company gets away with the deception by paying a yearly fine. According to the rumour, companies who knowingly printed misinformation on the nutritional facts of their product would have to pay a fine. The company in question figured it could make more money by convincing people the product only had 1 calorie than it would cost to pay the fine, meaning a higher profit margin for them.
Have you heard anything of this? Is it true that Pepsi One is really not one calorie and that Pepsi Co. A can of non-diet cola typically contains about calories. The Federal Trade Commission serves as the watchdog in this area: Such fines are a reaction to what has already taken place; they are not grants of immunity against continued breaking of the rules. Consumers have legal remedy available to them against corporations that have deceived them through certain provisions of the Lanham Act.
Many other countries have similar safeguards in place. Common sense should also serve to rule out what the whispers say about an annual payoff. For health reasons, many potential consumers of diet drinks have to carefully monitor what they ingest.
